Aluminum castings refer to equipment and components made of pure aluminum or aluminum alloys obtained by casting. Generally, sand molds or metal molds are used to pour heated liquid aluminum or aluminum alloy into the mold cavity, and the obtained aluminum parts or aluminum alloy parts of various shapes.
Aluminum processing plants usually melt primary aluminum ingots, secondary aluminum ingots, process wastes with master alloys or alloying element additives to produce aluminum alloy melt and then cast into slab ingots, round billets or casting-rolled coils as required for subsequent rolling or extrusion production.
